Welcome to vermont:
Vermont may be small in size and population, but it has a lot to offer. Vermont is often overlooked in comparison to iconic travel destinations such as the towering mountains of Utah and the dense forests of Wyoming. Nestled away in New England, Vermont is teeming with scenic views and picturesque landscapes. You’ll just have to see for yourself!
Places to ROVM:
Clouchester Causeway: Bordered on both sides by Lake Champlain, this heavily trafficked rail trail is an 8-mile gravel path that connects Burlington to South Hero Island. It is perfect for walking, fishing, and most notably, biking!
Bolton Potholes: Hiding within the heart of Vermont’s Green Mountains are the Bolton Potholes. The potholes are an engaging recreational area for all ages to to swim and sunbathe amongst the mountains and appreciate the spectacular views of deep, emerald green waterfalls. Local tip: Park in the Smilie Elementary School Parking Lot for easy access to the potholes by foot.
Lake Champlain Islands: The Green Mountain State is not the first location someone would think of for a beach day. But make no mistake, just thirty minutes from downtown Burlington, the Champlain Islands offer a spectacular day trip to soak up the sun, appreciate breathtaking views, and even check out the world’s oldest coral reef.
Places to Go Out:
Radio Bean: Set against the backdrop of a vintage lamp shop, the Bean is is an eccentric, quirky nightclub featuring live entertainment every night of the week spanning a variety of genres, decades, and artists. Zero Gravity Brewery: Located in Burlington’s South End, this craft brewery operates a 30-barrel brew house, spacious taproom, and retail shop. Check out Zero Gravity Brewery to unwind after a long day on their patio or celebrate a great day with friends. Don’t forget to ask about their collaborations menu featuring unique lagers with fresh spruce tips, hoppy fruited pale ales, funky semi-dry ciders and more!
Places to See:
Burlington Waterfront: Only a short walk away from downtown Burlington is the waterfront, a cultural, recreational, and social social hub for the greater-Burlington community situated against the shoreline of Lake Champlain. Stroll along the shoreline for picturesque views of the water and sunset, electric bike along the city’s bike paths for a worm’s eye view of Burlington, and, if you’re lucky, enjoy live music against the backdrop of the glistening water.
Moss Glen Falls: The hike to this spectacular waterfall is worth the rooty, steep albeit short hike. Travel to the Moss Glen Falls, one of Vermont’s largest waterfalls, as a quick pitstop on your way to the historic village of Stowe or to peep the leaves of Vermont’s fall foliage, akin to gazing through a kaleidoscope.

Shelbourne Country Store: The Shelbourne Country Store along with other nearby country stores carry a wide variety of general goods that typically support local vendors and producers. Grab lunch sandwiched between two pieces of Vermont beer bread, and to satisfy your sweet tooth, don’t forget to order a maple creemee made with local Vermont maple syrup.
