And how she got the shot for Hibiscus Berry

WHERE ARE YOU FROM, WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO?

I am an adventure-seeking, dog-loving, camping, hiking, and exploring all-around wild woman —a professional coffee drinker, master photographer, amateur snowboarder, experienced healthy food maker, an overly obsessed dog owner, a lifelong adventurer, and lover of sleeping outside (in all climates.)

I've lived all over the world and find ultimate happiness by the ocean, surfing and living with saltwater skin or in the mountains, buried in snow sipping whisky by a wood fire. I have worked crazy hard, eaten a lot of ramen, and crashed on some couches to have built the life I am living, where my work feels like my fun. I have combined my thirst for adventure, love for photography, and desire to inspire and share the journey into my career - blurring the lines of work and life. I specialize in adventure, travel, outdoor, brand, and commercial photography with a creative studio based out of Lake Tahoe, California.

TELL US ABOUT THE SHOT

This was shot on a visit to Oahu by my old digs on the North Shore. I used my Canon 5D Mark IV after a day of shooting in the surf. I've always had a deep connection with water. I could swim across an Olympic size swimming pool at 18 months old, scaring anyone who didn't know how much of a water child I was.

One of my earliest memories is a sunny, relaxing day floating and playing in the waves with my mom. The visual recall is so magical and nostalgic to me, a memory and a feeling of peace I will always want to return. I live in the mountains now and love the crisp fresh air, alpine lakes, remote hikes, endless camping, and exploring, but my connection to the ocean will always be there, and I will forever need my saltwater fix.
